Paul Acampora writes novels and short stories for young readers. His books include How to Avoid Extinction, I Kill the Mockingbird, Rachel Spinelli Punched Me in the Face, and his newest novel, Confusion is Nothing New, which features family mysteries, marching band friends, the perfect pizza, and 80s rock and roll. Lee Harper - 12:30 -2:00 a.m.
Lee Harper is an award winning picture book author/illustrator most known for his whimsical illustrations for the best-selling Turkey Trouble series and the Woolbur books. New in 2019 is Turkey’s Eggcellent Easter, the fourth book of the Turkey Trouble series. Lee has also written several picture books including The Emperor’s Cool Clothes, Coyote, and Snow! Snow! Snow!

Children's book author Kelly Starling Lyons is a Pittsburgh native whose titles include CCBC Choices-honored picture book, One Million Men and Me; Ellen’s Broom, a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor Book and Junior Library Guild selection; Tea Cakes for Tosh and Hope’s Gift, Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People and One More Dino on the Floor, a Scholastic Reading Club pick. Her Jada Jones chapter book series debuted last year and won praise for its celebration of character, friendship and STEAM connections. The newest title is Jada Jones: Sleepover Scientist.

Jennifer Gilmore - 3:15 - 4:15 p.m
Jennifer Gilmore is the author two novels for teens. We Were Never Here (Harper Teen 2016) and If Only (Harper Teen 2018). She is also the author of three novels for adults, including The Mothers (Scribner, 2013), which is currently being adapted for film, starring Rachel Weisz, with Gilmore Executive Producing, Something Red (Scribner, 2009), a New York Times Notable Book and Golden Country (Scribner 2006), also a New York Times Notable Book and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the National Jewish Book Award. (Scribner, 2006). Her work has appeared in magazines, journals and anthologies including The Atlantic, Bomb, BookForum, the Huffington Post, the Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, the New York Times, Real Simple, Salon, Tin House, Vogue and the Washington Post. She has been a MacDowell Colony fellow and has taught writing and literature at Barnard College, Cornell University, The New School, New York University, Sarah Lawrence College, Fordham University, Harvard University and Princeton University. She has recently moved to Easton, PA, with her husband and son where she teaches creative writing at Lafayette College.

Katey Howes - 3:15 - 4:15 p.m
Katey Howes is thrilled to be making books for children. She also makes bad jokes, great apple crisp, and messy mistakes. Katey lives in Upper Makefield, Pennsylvania (really!) with her husband and three adventurous daughters makers. A former physical therapist specializing in brain injury, Katey now divides her time between writing award-winning stories and raising kids with a love of books. She also contributes to parenting, literacy and STEM websites including All the Wonders, The Nerdy Bookclub, STEAM Powered Family and Imagination Soup.
